During the past few years, Maidenhead's Big Read has brought a wide range of free activities to local school children.
Big Read Idea
Since 2018, Maidenhead's Big Read has set out to encourage children in the local community to read and to love reading for personal development as well as for general well-being. Each year, we've engaged authors, illustrators, poets and storytellers to give sessions to schools and members of the public, all focused on reading. 2021 was a little bit different as all the sessions were presented online only to local schools, but the aims and objectives remain the same.
